How to change the Print Area on a worksheet

Although the reports available in our spreadsheets are already optimized for printing, you may want to customize them or adjust the print area of other worksheets. You can easily do so by following the below steps:

  • You first need to enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop in Excel Options. To do so, click on File / Options / Advanced and make sure the option “Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop” is checked:

  • In the Ribbon, click on “View” and then “Page Break Preview“.

  • After doing so, blue lines will be displayed on the screen (either dotted or full). These lines can help you identify how your worksheet’s print area is broken down.

  • To modify such area, simply click on the blue line and drag it to the desired position. Do this with horizontal and vertical lines to adjust the print area as desired
